The National Prosecuting Authority says there are many people who are the subject of criminal investigations for allegedly being involved in maladministration and corruption at Eskom.

The power utility is alleged to be at the centre of state capture allegations that the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises is investigating.

NPA boss Shaun Abrahams has not disclosed whether former top Eskom executives Anoj Singh and Matshela Koko are being investigated or not.

He says: “As to the issues around Mr Koko and Mr Singh and Glencore I regrettably cannot say to this committee. If I make a disclosure as to who is or not the subject of investigation I will be setting a bad precedent.”

He however says that the NPA is making the Eskom investigation a priority.
