Eskom has announced stage 3 load shedding for the rest of the weekend until 5am on Monday. On Friday, Eskom announced they would be implementing stage 2 load shedding for the weekend.
The power utility has lost additional generating capacity on the grid which has caused severe constraints. Eskom also says that its emergency reserves have dwindled and there is a need to replenish them for the week ahead.
