EPL dishes out its fair share of drama

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The English Premier League is in full swing and has dished out its fair share of drama. Watford and Leicester City started off the action, as they played to 1-1 draw at Vicarage road.

Then Brighton Hove Albion came from behind to win two one against Arsenal in a crucial encounter for both sides.

The proceedings between Watford and Leicester started with a moment of silence for all the people who passed away because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That moment was capped with a knee taken by both team as part of commemorating the Black Lives Matter movement, following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the police in the USA.

There was plenty of action as Watford made several attempts at goal in the first half without any success. In the second half, Leicester fired the first salvo in 90th minute, but Watford leveled that goal in the 93rd minute.

In the Brighton and Arsenal clash, Brighton scored two second half goals to beat Arsenal at the Amex Stadium in England.

Nicolas Pepe scored the first goal for the Gunners in the 68th minute. But the goal was cancelled out by Lewis Dunk in the 75th minute.

Brighton scored a late winner with only a few seconds before the final whistle.

In Valencia, Spain, Levante thrashed Espanyol 3-1 win in a La liga match played in Valencia.

Levante came into this match sitting in the bottom half of the table while Espanyol find themselves in a relegation battle. The visitors scored the first goal in the 14th minute.

Espanyol equalised with a well taken set piece, but Levante showed their class as they took control of the match. From there on it was one way traffic as Levante went on to win the match 3-1.
