England record first win in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup

Defending champions, England, have recorded their first win in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

They beat India by four wickets in Tauranga.

India who were sent in to bat, were bowled out for 134 in the 37th over, with Charlie Dean taking four for 23 in eight overs and two deliveries.

England then reached the target in the 32nd over with 112 deliveries remaining.

Captain Heather Knight top scored with an unbeaten 53.

It was England’s first win in four matches in this year’s tournament.

They are now sixth on the log and unlikely to qualify for the semi-finals.
