Elections Debate focusses on poverty

SABC News is hosting weekly Elections 2014 Debates programme in the run up to the polls on May 7.

Each live debate will be held in one of the nine provinces across the country.

The programme will be aired from 6-7pm every Sunday on SABC 1 and the 24 hour news channel 404 and SAfm.

It will also be streamed live on the SABC YouTube channel www.youtube.com/sabcnews and the news website www.sabc.co.za/news.

The debates will be hosted by the SABC’s contributing editor Vuyo Mvoko.

Every week, representatives from various political parties will be invited to participate in election related discussions.

This Sunday the topic under discussion at the SABC Election Debates is Poverty in South Africa.

The participating political parties are the ANC, DA, Cope and IFP.
