Police have confirmed that a case of common assault has been opened against Prophet Paseka Motsoeneng also known as Pastor Mboro.

He allegedly assaulted a female paramedic while she and a crew from the Ekurhuleni Emergency services were attending to a sickly child at Mboro’s Incredible Happenings Ministries in Katlehong, east of Johannesburg, on Sunday.

The child died.

Paramedics who were called to the church declared her dead at the scene, but Mboro claims the child died inside an ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Ekurhuleni West Police spokesperson Lesetja Mathobela says, “Yes the case was opened against Pastor Mboro. The  statement of the witness was obtained today in the morning. And the investigation is still on, and after it is finalised the Pastor will be arrested.”

Meanwhile, the Ekhuruleni Emergency Services, spokesperson William Ntladi has pleaded with the public to stop harassing and assaulting paramedics when they attend to emergency cases.
