Eight people including four children have been killed and several others injured in a collision between a bakkie and another vehicle on the N2 in Umzumbe on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
The injured have been taken to the nearest hospital following the collision which happened Sunday night.
Provincial EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie says a bakkie and car collided on the N2 near Umzumbe killing a total of four adults and four children.
“The head on collision led to their deaths.”
The exact details of the crash are unknown at this stage.
This crash brings to 14 the number of people killed on KwaZulu-Natal roads since last Friday.
