The eight suspects who feature on the police's most wanted list were arrested on Friday.

The eight people arrested in Westbury, Johannesburg, in connection with murder and illegal possession of drugs, will appear in court on Monday.

The eight suspects who feature on the police’s most wanted list were arrested on Friday. This as police heightens their visibility in the area after the community lamented the presence of drugs and gangsterism in the area.

A firearm and drugs were recovered during the operation.

Gauteng police Spokesperson, Kay Makhubele says, “The suspects will be appearing in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, facing charges of murder, as well as possession of drugs and dealing in drugs. The police hard at work, that is why we managed to arrest those suspects,” says Makhubele.
