Pravin Gordhan said blame and anger must be placed at the door of those who destroyed and handicapped state-owned businesses.

Economics Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy President Floyd Shivambu will be opening a corruption case against Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan at the Hillbrow Police station in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

A court battle between the EFF and Gordhan follows revelations from Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng that Gordhan had called his office to set up a meeting in an attempt to inquire how Judge Dhaya Pillay performed in the Judicial Service Commission interviews.

CJ Mogoeng Mogoeng relayed to the JSC, how Gordhan attempted to find out how a candidate did in an interview.

The party further says they will be reporting the Minister to the Public Protector for breaching the Executive Ethics Act and Judge Pillay for misconduct and bias to the Judicial Conduct Committee.

Yesterday, EFF Leader Julius Malema accused one of the Constitutional Court judge candidates of being nothing but a political activist.
