The latest election poll by the South African Institute of Race Relations (IRR) puts the African National Congress (ANC) at 55% of the national vote while the Democratic Alliance (DA) stands at 22% and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) at 12%.
The poll is conducted once a quarter and telephonically.
The poll shows that the ruling party has suffered a decline of 1.3% from the previous poll conducted in December.
The DA has meanwhile improved by over 3% while the EFF has gained the largest growth percentage of almost 6%.
The poll was conducted in the last two weeks of February.
