The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has expressed sadness at the passing of ‘Mama’ Zondeni Veronica Sobukwe, the wife of PAC founder Robert Sobukwe.

She died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the age of 91.
Mama Sobukwe, also known as “The Mother of Azania,” was a health practitioner and an activist in her own right.
EFF National Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says: “We would like to send our revolutionary and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mama Zondeni Sobukwe who has left us at a crucial moment when the country was busy consolidating the Pan Africanist dream of the land by all Africans in South Africa. May her soul rest in revolutionary and perfect peace.”
