EFF questions Moerane commission motive

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has questioned the reason for the existence of the Moerane Commission, saying it should not be used to solve in-fighting in the ANC.

The commission has been probing political killings in KZN. The EFF just concluded its testimony before the commission in Durban.

Ndlozi says the commission will not find evidence of political killings in KwaZulu-Natal.

“What is this commission for, we’re saying to you if you’re saying it’s a commission for general politicians who are getting killed. You’re treading on very dangerous grounds because you won’t be able to provide much evidence to that effect. The commission is about the special treatment the falling apart of the ANC’s internal capacity to resolve it’s house problems, discipline. Members of the EFF when they are ill disciplined we can’t go and take state money set up a commission about the ill-discipline of EFF members and may say no this is society, that’s what we’re challenging you about, we’re going to stay there because we must face up to that and be honest,” says Ndlozi.
