The EFF in the Northern Cape has called young people in the province to rise up and mobilize against the scourge of corruption.

The party says local government in the province continues to rob the youth in the province of their economic potential by overspending governmental resources.

EFF Provincial Interim Core, Shadrak Tlhaole says funds in the province could be used to assist the youth in solidifying the future of the province.

“Civic participation and freedom is essential for rooting out the cancer of corruption. Corruption is not only unique to the Northern Cape. Here in the province there are many regions that deal with this problem. Corruption is tolerated because that’s how things have always been done. People think that it is sort of a normal state of affairs. It’s time to change habits and decisively break that cycle. People that break the law and violate the public trust need to prosecuted and ordinary people need to stand up and say enough is enough,” says Tlhaole.
