The EFF has dismissed claims by the party’s former central command member, Thembinkosi Rawula, that the EFF’s finances are being mismanaged by leader Julius Malema and Deputy Floyd Shivambu.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Rawula made a number of claims about party finances including that funds allocated to the party by parliament could not be cashed in terms of treasury rules.
Rawula also claims that the EFF had accepted a donation from VBS Mutual Bank.
EFF MP, Tebogo Mokwele says Rawula must bring evidence to support his claims.
Mokwele says the EFF is not scared of what Rawula has just said.
He says: “Our audited financial statements are submitted to parliament, the IEC and the relevant stakeholders. If it was not the case we wouldn’t even get funding from the institutions.”
“The issue of VBS, nowhere in the report that was tabled does it mention the EFF and we are saying to him and his crew that he must submit tangible evidence and not say things that are not there.”
