Edward Mothibi has won the 2019 Comrades Marathon. It’s the first win for the South African from Rusternburg in the North West.
Mothibi claimed fourth place on debut last year.
Mothibi won in a time of 5 hours and 31 minutes.
The Nedbank Running Club member beat out last year’s winner Bongumusa Mthembu after Polly Shorts on the uphill run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.
