The education dept has under-spent its 2012/2013 infrastructure budget by R1.2 billion. This is not good news considering many schools are lacking in basic needs and infrastructure.
In light of this lobby group, Equal Education, says it’s very doubtful that the department will achieve its target of eradicating mud schools by 2015 and addressing the needs do many challenged schools.
