Eastern Cape Police have arrested a 29-year-old female for the alleged murder of her 38-year-old boyfriend at Swartkops in Gqeberha.
It is alleged that the couple argued in the early hours of today. According to the report, the girlfriend took a knife and stabbed the man in the neck.
He died at the scene and the suspect was arrested outside the residence. Police spokesperson Gerda Swart says the suspect will appear in court on Monday on a charge of murder.
“Police in Swartkops have arrested a 29-year-old female for the alleged murder of her 38-year-old boyfriend, following an argument. It is alleged that the couple argued 01:30 this morning, Saturday, 27 August 2022 at a residence in Debe Street, Wells Estate,” said Swart.
The motive for the murder is yet to be established and police investigations are continuing
