Eastern Cape ANC Chairperson Oscar Mabuyane says the evaluation meeting taking place on Saturday will tackle issues of behaviour among party members, including the violence seen in the recent weeks.

Party president Cyril Ramaphosa is this weekend leading the ANC National Executive Committee in engaging the provincial leadership in the evaluation of the 2021 Local Government Elections.

Earlier, Ramaphosa said there was nothing sinister about the meeting and that it was part of preparations for the ANC Conference to be held later this year. Mabuyane agrees.

“When we are preparing for the conference we know stakes are high and people are interested in what comes out of the ANC conference so from a provincial point of view we are putting stability with all these dynamics that we are seeing, the violence and it’s not a dominant factor in our province we are dealing with that. ”
