The man, who is a driver of school transport vehicle, is alleged to have repeatedly raped a 14-year-old girl at Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.

A 46-year-old man will appear at the Centane Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape after he allegedly raped his wife.

It is alleged the couple is currently separated and the wife went to collect the rest of her belongings when the alleged incident occurred.

Police spokesperson, Jackson Manatha says the husband persuaded the 35-year-old wife to come back home and when she refused, the suspect allegedly raped her.

He says the suspect allegedly strangled the woman and raped her.

“After she was allegedly raped, the woman ran to the Centane police station where she opened a case,” says Manatha.

The man is due to appear before the Centane Magistrates court on Thursday.
