Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has granted former President Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane Zuma permission to cross examine former Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas.
Justice Zondo was handing down judgement on applications by implicated persons who have asked the commission for leave to cross examine witnesses in Parktown in Johannesburg.
Zuma had previously elected not to avail himself, on the basis that he was facing criminal charges based on the same issue. But earlier this week, through his lawyer, Zuma wrote a letter to the commission – and has since availed himself to appear.
