Du Plessis not retiring

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Proteas captain Faf du Plessis is not retiring just yet following uninspiring performances in the last two Test matches, which the South African national team lost to England.

Du Plessis has insisted that he has committed himself to Cricket South Africa (CSA) until after this year’s T20 World Cup tournament in Australia in October and November.

The 35-year-old Du Plessis also said that he is going to be part of the Proteas squad until maybe after the Test series against the West Indies in July and August this year.

Pretoria-born Du Plessis has, however, admitted that the Proteas are facing a tough time and the players need to be strong in order for them to survive, especially in the upcoming fourth Test match against England, which starts at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Friday.
