Port Elizabeth doctor, Lizanne Pieterse, is the first South African female to be accredited as a Guinness Pro 14 match day doctor.
She has also worked with all the Eastern Cape-based professional outfits such as the Southern Kings Rugby team, Chippa United Football Club, as well as the Warriors Cricket team.
The Bloemfontein-born Pieterse is passionate about sport and her profession.
She has represented Free State at junior level in hockey and swimming.
Her big break as a Sports doctor came a few years ago when she worked with the Eastern Province Rugby Union.
