Eastern Cape Premier, Phumulo Masualle says he has done fairly well as premier despite mounting calls for his resignation.

Masualle’s fourth State of the Province Address (Sopa) on Friday was met with criticism for failure to clarify developments on projects meant to develop the province.

He says he has brought proper leadership.

“From where I sit specifically, whether or not the province from where I sit, from where we set sail to where we are, have we met the objectives we set ourselves? I would say we stand here reporting progress on those. In fact, there’s abundance of progress where ever we go. Progress that confirms that indeed progress has been made,” says Masualle.

However, United Democratic Movement and Democratic Alliance say Masualle has failed to make the executive account.
