African National Congress (ANC) Women’s League president, Bathabile Dlamini says the organisation is proud that three women had joined the race for the party’s top position.

ANC Member of Parliament, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, is a frontrunner in the race to succeed President Jacob Zuma.

She is going up against Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Lindiwe Sisulu, who threw her hat in the ring, says she is willing to work with Ramaphosa and serve as his deputy.

National Assembly speaker, Baleka Mbete has also indicated that she will support Ramaphosa.

She too has availed herself to become the next ANC president.

“We must say as the Women’s League that we are proud that three women availed themselves for the position of the president. Secondly we look at two prominent people on both sides that have women one president and the other deputy president,” says Dlamini.
