Novak Djokovic, 12-time Grand Slam and triple Wimbledon champion, is hitting his best form at the right time after beating Russian Karen Khachanov, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the quarter finals of the Wimbledon Championship in London.
It will be his 10th appearance in the last eight at the All England Club.
In his fourth round encounter, Djokovic faced stiff competition from the Russian despite the score line.
The Serbian was just better and while Khachanov dominated his own service game in previous matches, he was frustrated by Djokovic’s ability to read his serve.
Djokovic is regarded as one of the best returners of serve the game has ever seen. He also dominated the longer baseline rallies, forcing his opponent, more often than not, into mistakes.
Djokovic takes on Kei Nishikori of Japan in tomorrow’s quarter-final.
