World number one, Novak Djokovic, is one of only four seeded players who made it to the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Masters tennis tournament.
The Serb saved four break points in the second set against Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta before going on to win 6-3, 6-4.
He said afterwards it was much tougher that what the score indicated. Next up for Djokovic is Frenchman Lucas Pouille who beat eighth seed Karen Kachanov of Russia 6-7, 6-4, 6-2.
Third seed Roger Federer made his quickest exit in 16 years when 21-year-old Andrey Rublev of Russia beat the Swiss 20-time Grand Slam champion in straight sets.
Rublev attacked, defended and served better for a 6-3, 6-4 victory in just 62 minutes.
It’s by far the biggest win of his career and he next meets fellow Russian, Daniil Medvedev.
