The list of dignitaries to attend the Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 event in Johannesburg next weekend has been announced.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will be joined by the leaders of Belgium, Ghana, Kenya, Norway and Rwanda among others.
Several other countries and high profile global institutions, companies, corporations and NGOs have also confirmed attendance of the Mandela centenary festival at the FNB Stadium next Sunday.
Many international superstars are set to take to the stage for the marathon event, reminiscent of the Mandela 46664 concerts.
Some of the names on the star-studded line up are Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Usher and Wizkid.
The event will be hosted by Trevor Noah, Naomi Campbell, Sir Bob Geldof, Tyler Perry, Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey among others. The aim of the festival is to eradicate extreme poverty in the world through 1 billion dollar commitments from governments all over the planet.
