DHL Stormers to train under strict conditions amid COVID-19

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The DHL Stormers Head Coach John Dobson and Team Doctor Jason Suter have given an update from the Stormers camp after Super Rugby was suspended on the weekend.

While the Stormers have halted team training, the players will continue to work at the High Performance Centre in Bellville, though under strict conditions.

Dobson says that it is important that the players remain prepared for if and when the competition resumes.

Doctor Suter explains that they will be following the strict guidelines from SARU and the players will only use the gym at the HPC.

Suter says they will be vigilant at the HPC and he has set up specific policy document to make sure of this.

The Stormers doctor explains that every player, coach and staff member at the HPC will be tested daily.

Meanwhile, Dobson says he was disappointed to see some of his post-match comments about the suspension of the competition only being published days later, as the coronavirus news has moved quickly. – Reports by Rob Delport
