South African Airways Chief Executive CEO Vuyani Jarana has reportedly resigned, and is prepared to work a three-month notice period until August 31, 2019.

Jarana was appointed CEO in November 2017.

In the wake of the news that he has resigned, SAA spokesperson Tlali Tlali referred SABC News to the Department of Public Enterprises.

However, the Department said they could not confirm Jarana’s resignation.

Jarana himself told SABC News that only the SAA Board could comment on the matter. SAA Board Chairperson JB Magwaza could not be reached for comment.

More details on this story will follow.
