Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Design Indaba has kicked off at the Arts Cape Theatre in Cape Town with 40 exhibitors and artist showing off their talents.

The four day event will feature live musical performances and a film festival.

Spokesperson, Lauren Shantall, says designers enhance the cultural life in the Mother City long after the event has ended .

“The most recent one, the Design Indaba completed, is called the arch for the arch, which honours the life of Archbishop Desmond Tutu that has been installed as a public sculpture just past Parliament. It’s beautiful to see such a special project that gives back to the City of Cape Town, and that helps to make the life of the city more rich, more textured and more deep in our history,” she said.
