African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) member, Derek Hanekom, is already in the High Court in Durban where his defamation case against the former president Jacob Zuma is being heard.
When he arrived, Hanekom was flanked by the former Public Enterprises minister Barbara Hogan, some of his friends and a handful of his supporters.
Hanekom says he has a good legal team and he’s confident about Friday’s proceedings. He is expected to address his supporters after the proceedings.
Meanwhile, Zuma is not in court but his legal team including attorney Daniel Mantsha and Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane are in court.
