Cape Town Mayor, Patricia de Lille, says she’s pleased with the progress of the investigation by Bowman Gilfillan Attorneys into alleged tender irregularities.

The firm was appointed following a council resolution in January to appoint an independent investigator to look into allegations of corruption.

The probe relates to an electric bus tender.

De Lille says she’s voluntarily handed over computers as part of the probe which has since been returned to her office. She says she remains committed to cooperate with the process.

De Lille survived a no confidence motion against her by the Democratic Alliance last week by one vote after corruption and mismanagement allegations surfaced in her administration.
