A handful of supporters of Cape Town Mayor, Patricia de Lille, are picketing at the Civic Centre.

They say they want the Mayor to remain in her position.

The DA caucus in the City is expected to vote Wednesday afternoon in support of a motion of no confidence in De Lille.

Earlier she survived a motion of no confidence by a single vote.

Cape Town resident and one of her supporters, Victoria Booysen says: “We feel that the mayor is being treated unfairly. They must give her a chance to explain herself.”

“The DA is not giving her a chance, they just want her out. We are the voters and as voters we are sick and tired of what the DA is doing,” says Booysen.
