Minister of Public Works Patricia de Lille has been criticised that she sold out those who had voted for her and that she had conspired with the African National Congress (ANC) in the Western Cape

Newly-appointed Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Patricia de Lille says she is focused on serving the people of the country and won’t be bogged down by her critics.

In a surprise move, President Cyril Ramaphosa included De Lille in his new cabinet.

De Lille has since been criticised that she sold out those who had voted for her and that she had conspired with the African National Congress (ANC) in the Western Cape.

However, she says she is leaving the criticism behind to focus on the job at hand.

“I don’t listen to fools. Fools are entitled to their opinions, but it is wrong when fools use their opinions to judge. I got a call from the President and for me, it is all about the people of the country,” says De Lille.
