Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille says she will demand that the disciplinary hearing against her be open to the media and the public.
The DA has instituted another hearing against her.
It relates to the manner in which posts for area based directors were advertised in the City of Cape Town.
De Lille says she’s prepared to go to court.
She says: “I’m a public representative, I was voted in by the people of the City of Cape Town. I believe that I owe it to them, they must hear what the allegations are against the Mayor. They must hear what my responses are.
“We want the second hearing to also be open. We have the same arguments. If they refuse, then I have to go to court to have it open,” says De Lille.
