Reading Time: 2 minutes

Day 2 of the U/18 SA Rugby Craven Week in Bloemfontein produced just as much spectacle as Day 1.

The Youth Week is currently taking place at the celebrated Grey College.

Grey is known for producing some of the best sporting personalities in South Africa in rugby and football.

Todays’ games ended with a few surprises, but also some exciting expected wins.

A big surprise win was when the Assupol Blue Blues beat Eastern Cape side Border 35-24 in the second last match of the day.

Another big win was the Thepa Trading Griffions beating Griquas 64-5.

Bulls Coach Jacobus Koch was impressed with his sides’ display.

Another big win saw Phakisa Pumas upstage the SA LSEN 52-15. Day 2 drew more numbers with many eager hopefuls taking part.

Koch says the team is working hard to help bring back the pride of the Bulls teams.

Bulls Assistant Coach Ofentse Moeng, who previously worked as team manager for the Springboks Women, SA Schools team believes that Craven Week is the best step for young rugby hopefuls to make it pro one day. – Report by Tshenolo Meruti
