About 2 000 mourners are expected to attend the official government funeral service for Khomani San leader Dawid Kruiper in the remote Northern Cape on Saturday morning, June 29, 2012.
Seventy-six-year-old Kruiper died at Upington over two weeks ago after apparently suffering from tuberculosis for many years.
Traditional Affairs Minister Richard Baloyi is scheduled to represent government at Kruiper’s funeral on his farm, Witdraai. It was returned to his family in 1999 as part of the historic San land claim.
