David back for City and ready for Wits challenge

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Cape Town City’s Dutch midfielder Chris David is now fully fit and is ready to help the club improve on their Absa Premiership league position.

David had been out injured for the past three months, but started his return when he made an appearance as a second-half substitute in City’s last match, two weeks ago, where they lost 1-0 to Chippa United.

Now, the 26-year-old says he is fully fit and ready to start for Jan Olde Riekerink’s team as they take on Bidvest Wits at the Dobsonville Stadium on Friday night.

David says it has been difficult to watch City’s struggles this season. The club is currently 13th on the table, but David is confident that fortunes will change soon.

David, who played for Fulham in the English Premier League 5 years ago, says that Friday’s game against Wits will be a good challenge. – Report by Rob Delport
