Dagga worth R500 000 seized in KZN

Dagga worth R500-thousand has been seized at Vryheid in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Police have arrested two suspects aged 25 and 35 in the area on Friday.

Police Spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the suspects’ vehicle was spotted between Vryheid and Paul Pietersburg Road.

Mbhele says upon searching the vehicle, ten bags of dagga were found loaded inside the vehicle.

The recovered dagga weighed 118 kilograms with an estimated street value of R500 000. She says the suspects are expected to appear in the Vryheid Magistrates Court soon.
