Scores of Democratic Alliance (DA) supporters have filled the Saulsville Arena in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, in anticipation of party leader, Mmusi Maimane’s unveiling of the party’s 2019 provincial election manifesto.

Earlier, the DA’s Gauteng premier candidate, Solly Msimanga, assured residents of the province that service delivery would improve if the party succeeded in Gauteng. He addressed the media ahead of the launch of the manifesto.

Msimanga highlighted some of the party’s key issues, saying they are proposing to the people of Gauteng what it is that they want to do in Gauteng to make sure that life improves. “…that there is economic upliftment, that there will be a job in every home, we’ll make sure that law and order becomes the order of the day, we’ll make sure that service delivery does happen in Gauteng. We need to make sure that ultimately Gauteng becomes a catalyst to making South Africa work,” says Msimanga.
