Mmusi Maimane says any attempt to remove Solly Msimanga is an assault on the people of South Africa.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has vowed to support Tshwane Mayor, Solly Msimanga, against the African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) motions of no confidence in him.

This came out after the party’s Federal Executive meeting in Johannesburg.

Msimanga is facing two motions during the metro council meeting on Thursday.

History has shown the EFF to make serious judgments of error in the past – from Jacob Zuma, to Public Protector Mkhwebane, to the VBS bank.

Tomorrow the EFF is faced with an important decision. History, and the voters, will judge them for their choice. #DAFedEx
