Mduduzi Manana is accused of verbally abusing and attempting to push his domestic worker, Christine Wiro, down a flight of stairs.

The DA says it will lay extortion and corruption charges against ANC MP, Mduduzi Manana in Sandton, north of Johannesburg on Monday.

The party says this follows the release of a voice clip where Manana could be heard allegedly offering to pay his former domestic worker, Christine Wiro, R100 000 to drop charges against him.

The party has accused Manana of abusing his privileged position and that he subjected Wiro to financial pressure to avoid further prosecution.

It has also welcomed the police and NPA’s decision to continue pursuing the charges against him.

Manana is accused of verbally abusing and attempting to push his domestic worker, Christine Wiro, down a flight of stairs.

Manana has been on the news for all the wrong reasons after he was charged and convicted for assaulting a woman in Cubana in Fourways on August 6, 2017.

The court ordered Manana to undergo anger management programs
