The Democratic Alliance says it will lay criminal charges of perjury against President Jacob Zuma following two high court judgments against him.
The High court in Pretoria dismissed with costs his review application of the Public Protector’s State of Capture report.
The President was also ordered to personally pay costs for his failed court bid to interdict the release of the report.
“The DA will be laying criminal charges against Jacob Zuma today for his sinister attempt to mislead the court, abuse judicial process and ultimately undermine the law and the constitution of the republic. Now Zuma’s insinuation that this act of perjury was a typo is an insult to the court and people of South Africa,” says DA spokesperson Portia
