The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Free State is giving an introductory testimony on the Estina Vrede dairy farm project in the Free State at the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture in Parktown, Johannesburg.
The party laid the initial complaint with the Public Protector alleging that the money, which was more than R220 million, meant to benefit the poor was siphoned to companies linked to the politically-connected Gupta family.
DA spokesperson in the Free State legislature, Shelton Mollentze, says the party is confident that the information it has will assist the commission’s chairperson, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
