Three municipalities have been verified in the Gauteng province, with the ANC winning two of the three in Rand West City and Lesedi. The Democratic Alliance won the Midvaal Municipality with more than 62% of the vote.
There are still two metro councils and four municipalities outstanding in Gauteng.
