Triple murder accused Henri van Breda will know his fate on Monday when Judge Siraj Desai hands down judgment in the High Court in Cape Town.
Van Breda is accused of hacking his family to death at the De Zalze Estate outside Stellenbosch in January 2015.
He is accused of killing his father, mother and older brother with an axe and was arrested after handing himself over to police more than a year after the killings.
The accused maintains that his family was killed by an axe wielding intruder wearing a balaclava. Van Breda has pleaded not guilty to murder charges and a charge of defeating the ends of justice.
