The City of Cape Town’s Metro Police arrested five suspects and confiscated drugs in Hanover Park.
Metro Police spokesperson Ruth Solomons says officers were conducting crime prevention patrols in the area and conducted a number of searches at various locations confiscating drugs and cash.
Solomons adds that the suspects aged between 18 and 40 are detained at Phillipi police station in the Cape Flats.
The Property Crime Unit arrested a 25 year old female in Athlone, when they followed up on information regarding drug activity in Ruby Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a female cooking Heroin in her bedroom.
The officers found 62 units of Heroin, 15 grams of Heroin powder and 1 packet of loose Dagga.
