Australian cricket legend and the greatest leg-spinner of all-time, Shane Warne has died at the age of 52.
Warne’s management company released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday morning, Australian time, saying he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.
The news is the second devastating blow for Australian cricket within 24 hours, following the passing of fellow great, Rod Marsh, having suffered a major heart attack last week.
Warne represented Australia between 1992 and 2007 and took 708 wickets in 145 test matches.
He also played 194 One Day Internationals, taking 293 wickets.
