A study has revealed that almost 30 % of online shoppers get duped into buying counterfeit products like fake make-up, skincare and medicine.
According to the study, counterfeiting is mushrooming due to a lack of legislation and enforcement to counter online and offline trading.
PayPal, a worldwide online payment system that supports online money transfers, stated that almost 70% of all active online adults in South Africa spent an estimate of R45.3 billion till the end of 2018 .
