Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) Deputy General-Secretary, Solly Phetoe says campaigning for the African National Congress (ANC) does not mean they no longer have issues with the ANC-led government.
The ANC’s alliance partners have harshly criticised the party for not taking a tough stance against corruption and the failure of many municipalities to deliver basic services such as water and sanitation.
Phetoe was addressing COSATU’s provincial shop stewards’ council in Rustenburg, in the North West, on Friday.
“It does not suggest that challenges that we are having with the ANC government,we are going to bury those challenges. It does not suggest that the fight we are having against the Walmart/ Massmart comrades, we are going to bury them,” says Phetoe.
